Watchingfootballabroad: I agree, it was a shame that the match was canceled. I was very confident of our squad going to Anfield and giving them a proper run for their money. Mascherano was out of the squad due to a red card so now, he will be back for our match. I believe they will still be missing Glen Johnson but not so sure. The prospect of watching the two Croatians at work on the wings was attractive. It would have been a great test for us. Regarding Villa and City, the thing that scares me about those teams is their ability to score in big games; but then again, for once, so can we.

I’m also convinced that as I’m on the other side of the world we will get a win at Anfield just to spite me!

Regardless of my personal battles with fate I think that with an easy looking game, (sorry for once again tempting fate), against Hull coming up and a dodgy looking away game for Liverpool we could really put some distance between us. I’m not entirely convinced of the threat that Villa and City hold and believe that if we finish above Liverpool we’ll get 4th.

Our boys are showing hunger and confidence to be up the table. I just hope this January window and the media transfer speculation don’t affect them. cant harry in addition to the partying ban newspapers and TV or have them live in cells inside WHL and just play the Liverpool game over and over and over…
