Another match so soon???

I might OD from the thrill! We’re off to Hull City to visit the Tigers… GRRRRRR.

Spurs need to start off with the confidence and quality displayed against Liverpool. It won’t be a walk in the park but I’m confident we have what it takes to secure 3 points. Areas of concern are: 1) it’s Hull’s debut match at home; 2) they want revenge after their loss to Chelsea.

I’m hoping we’ll replicate our 3-nil preseason victory in the Barclays Asia Trophy where we dominated them for the most part (video below).

My starting XI:

• Gomes: needs to think before doing; could be Spurs weakest link this season but I have faith in his shot-stopping skills
• BAE: another goal please
• Bassong: another goal please… am I repeating myself?
• Corluka: made a few mistakes against Liverpool but King was there to clean up shop; you’re on your own now laddie
• Hutton: good preseason form; needs to carry that into the season
• Modric: El Maestro
• Palacios: our scare tactician… bless him
• Huddlestone: his partnership with Palacios deserves another go
• Lennon: waiting for last season’s form to come back
• Pavyluchenko: didn’t deserve to come on in the 90th vs. Liverpool; give him a go Harry
• Keane: prefer Defoe but we need our captain especially with Ledley nursing the knee; score one for us Robbie!
