I worry about Giovanni Dos Santos. The youngster has shown a lot of promise in all international matches he has played for Mexico. Even during his loan spell at Ipswich, the boy was playing well until he got injured. Why has he not broken through at Spurs? Is Harry not fond of his size? That’s impossible! Look at Defoe. You know what, look at the average size of our squad! Did you see them stacked up against Celtic? Spurs are a relatively short team (i.e. Lennon, Modric, Keane) – ok, now is the time to joke about Crouch skewing the measurements.
Gio’s strongest performances seem to be when he slots as the striker on the right side. He is left footed and likes to hit that top left corner of the goal. It’s his sweet spot! During Ramos’ brief reign at White Hart Lane, Gio played on the left wing several times and, although showed great speed and skill, he wasn’t as aggressive as he is on the right. Could Harry possibly play him there? If we manage to use him on the left wing, where would Modric play? Hmm… this is tough!
I at least hope that if we offload Gio this season it is strictly on loan so he can hone his skill and come back to us with some precious experience and maturity.

I had great expectations when he signed because i saw him play a lot of times as a youngster for mexico and Barça … but i m afraid of two things :
- Harry doesn’t like his style of play or doesn’t rate him as PL material
- If we do loan him out again he will be vexed and do not see him returning to WHL next season

i would be sad to see him go as i think he has the flexibility to play on the wing and the forward positions… plus he is great at poaching goals at his young age.
appreciate the visit and support belgian spur! COYS!!!
